Not really feeling alliances forming at this point. We're truly in a mode of damage control and thinking about how to win immunity rather than try and pair up. Making formal allies is tough when you don't know who's going to be around 1 or 2 TC's down the road.
I do think it's encouraging that people have been taking my personal suggestions for who to vote off. I was the one who spoke with Rob, and he mentioned to me that he wouldn't mind being voted off (and I confirm that he never actually ASKED to be voted off). When I pitched the targeting of Rob to the others, they went with it. They were receptive to my suggestion of voting out Sugar. It's possible that I might actually be pulling strings on my tribe, which doesn't always happen. I'm looking at this with cautious optimism, though if others would rather not take initiative on the vote, then I don't mind doing it.
As I'm sure you know, Naonka in this game was Danielle in the JLyric game. We've been talking since we were both voted out, and we're going to try working together if we both last to the merge. She backstabbed me last time, but I think she'd be loyal to me this time. I offered to take her "immunity ban" off her shoulders, to allow HER to try for immunity while showing that I was ready to show loyalty to her. She refused the offer, saying that it wasn't necessary and that she wouldn't fuck me over this time. The fact that she didn't just dump an instant disadvantage on me and run, well... promising!
I tried doing what you said, and thought about the strategy that the other side may be using in their exile choices. When I did, I found I was surprised that they chose to exile Shane... if they were choosing strictly by challenge activity, they might have gone with Sugar. Rather interesting.... either Shane was somehow perceived as a weak link, or someone on the other side (Natalie?) wants to make sure that Shane is preserved.
